KATHMANDU, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Two French nationals were arrested in the Nepalese capital on the charge of pedophilia on Tuesday, police said here.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police arrested the two French men, aged 42 and 38, based on tip-off that they were abusing children using money, sport items, food items and chocolates as baits, the CIB said in a statement.
The two Frenchmen namely Christophe Guilloux, and Denis Mathiey Michel Chupau had been staying in a rental house in Kathmandu since Oct. 15, 2017, police said.
CIB Spokesman Krishna Hari Sharma said that they have started investigations.
Sharma said that eight victims have filed complaints against the two French men so far.
In recent years, many foreigners have been arrested in Nepal for sexually abusing and molesting under-aged children, police said.
