The 052C-class guided missile destroyer Changchun (Hull Number 150) was commissioned to the East China Sea Fleet of the PLA Navy on January 31, 2013. The 052C-class guided missile destroyers are the first type of destroyers that are equipped with active phased array radar system and air defense missile vertical launching system, which has greatly promoted the Chinese PLA Navy's air defense capabilities.
