TUNIS, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- A second religious extremist was shot dead Saturday night near Samama Mountain in Tunisia's central-western province of Kasserine, Tunisian Ministry of Interior announced Sunday.
According to the ministry, "this second terrorist, holding the Algerian nationality, is classified as dangerous."
Bachir Ben Naji, 35 years old, known as "Hamza al-namr," pledged his allegiance to the extremist movement "Oqba Ibn-Nafaa" since 2013.
Other armed militants were also injured and fled during the operation carried out by Tunisia's special units of the National Guard.
