LUSAKA, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Zambia will host the International Judo Federation (IJF) coaching practicals level 1 and 2 which have attracted over 70 participants, organizers said on Tuesday.
The event, which runs from June 6-12, 2018, will be held at the Olympic Youth Development Center (OYDC), an ultra-modern sports facility in Lusaka, and will be conducted by six experts from IJF.
Mabvuto Ng'uni, general secretary of the Zambia Judo Association said the course will enhance the performance of Zambian athletes as the coaches to be trained will acquire skills to nurture more judokas, according to a statement.
Among countries expected to participate are Zimbabwe, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, Seychelles, Gabon and Zambia.
Zambia has hosted the coaching course since 2016. Enditem
