URUMQI, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Strong wind and snow have disrupted traffic in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Wind and snow have caused railway authorities in Xinjiang to suspend four trains, while 10 trains already on the tracks have stopped to wait for better weather.
Poor visibility from snow and sandstorms has led police to block certain sections of several national highways.
Meanwhile, bad weather also caused the delays of many flights at Diwopu International Airport in Urumqi, the regional capital. As of 12:15 p.m. Saturday, 14 flights were delayed and 20 cancelled.
