SHANGHAI, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- LVMH Group, the world's leading luxury goods company, will bring a dozen brands and showcase its latest products for the first time at the upcoming second China International Import Expo (CIIE) slated to take place from Nov. 5 to 10.
The France-based luxury group will exhibit its newest products in fashion and accessories, leather goods, perfumes and cosmetics, watches and jewelry, wines and spirits, as well as high-end multi-brand chain retail, according to Andrew Wu, LVMH Group Greater China president.
Luxury brands owned by the LVMH Group will take part in the expo, among which Louis Vuitton will showcase its tech-equipped products, Givenchy will debut two bags, while Sephora will introduce more than 80 new products for the first time in China.
Some other brands will focus more on cooperation between east and west. Hennessy plans to collaborate with a renowned Chinese artist to design artwork for the 2020 Chinese Spring Festival, while Fendi will present a special Baguette bag inspired by the Forbidden City.
"The Chinese economy has skyrocketed over the past several decades, with the market's demand for quality international products growing each day," said Wu, adding that the CIIE shows the Chinese government's determination to further open up the domestic market.
"We hope to better reach and serve Chinese consumers, not limited to but amplifying the voices of CIIE, with deeper and more extensive retail access to offer the latest international products in the Chinese market," Wu said.
LVMH was among the first French companies to confirm participation in the second CIIE and France is among the guest of honor countries at the upcoming CIIE.
