JAKARTA, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia will send 26 participants to the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE) slated for Nov.5-10 in Shanghai, to display the nation's various products for exports, an official at Indonesian trade ministry said here Friday.
Indonesian products being exhibited in the 2019 CIIE among others are electronics, automotive, garments, accessories, food and beverages, swallow nests, palm oil, coal, services and medical equipment, said Director of National Export Development Directorate General at the Trade Ministry Dody Edward.
"The trade ministry will bring 17 firms to participate in 2019 CIIE, and nine others will register to take part in the event by themselves," he said in his office.
This event shows a gesture that China is further opening up. Its market is fed up by imported products besides their own high-quality products, he said.
Indonesia's participation in the event this year was aimed at expanding further exports to China, Indonesia's largest export destination country, he noted.
Indonesia booked 4.74 billion U.S. dollars of transactions in 2018 CIIE, according to the ministry.
